Have you ever gone for a bridal expo?Well neither had I until yesterday and I am quite grateful for the team over at The Samantha Bridals for inviting me for the expo that is currently being held at the Sarit Centre up till the 25th of February .So..here goes..my first time experience at the expo.
When you get to walk in through the main doors, you are greeted by the lovely decor. That;s the first thing that draws you in..It’s so beautiful and rosy..trust me they did an outstanding job with those beautiful pink roses. The expo had various vendors and before I get into that, their decors!WOW!So beautiful some I just couldn’t resist walking into their vending space. They have different types of vendors i.e florists, makeup, weddings dress designers, cakes, music you name it they had all the types of vendors you would possibly need to visit when planning for your wedding. Some of the vendors were those of top designers such as PEGGY O, OGAKE MOSOMI,ANGELSMILEBRIDAL,NEXT BOUTIQUE,MAKEUP by RUTHIE,AURA EVENT PLANNERS,MAGNOLIA KENYA EVENTS and much more. The thing is you learn so much when it comes to planning your wedding, getting the right cake, advice on the type of decorations you’d want down to what kind of experience you want your quests to have.
The other great thing,I loved about the expo is that they have 3 runway shows,in the morning, afternoon and evening. This is where you get stunned as well as get all sorts of wedding dress inspirations..trust me I have always wanted a white dress but seeing different colors on the runways made me think twice. The entertainment at the end was I believe my best part.It was a music group that sang wonderfully..songs that just get you in the mood to party.
On another note I was a-bit disappointed in the fact that there were no plus-size runway models showcasing the different types of wedding dresses.I feel that that needs to be corrected,as a plus-size woman I need to get some sort of inspiration when I see another plus size model rocking a wedding dress..that way it’s more relatable to curvy women. The second thing I was slightly disturbed about is that there were no Muslim vendors showcasing(they do have their own show but it would have been good to see afew vendors at the Samantha Bridal Expo)
All-in-all I strongly urge everyone to head out to the expo..you’ll have much fun,get to learn more about different aspects of weddings and plus who want want to miss out on cake tasting???!Right?
Hope you enjoyed my review.
